The Vascular Plants Diversity of The Bati Akdeniz Agricultural Research Institute Aksu Campus
This floristic research was conducted to investigate the vascular plant diversity of the Bati Akdeniz Agricultural Research Institute campus located in the central district of Aksu, Antalya (Turkey). As a result of the field studies, 225 plant taxa belonging to 61 families and 182 genera, which of 32 are cultivars, were identified. Only one endemic species was documented in the present study. The families which have the largest number of taxa in the research area are Fabaceae 31 (13.8%), Asteraceae 26 (11.6%), and Poaceae 18 (8.0%). In terms of phytogeographic region, taxa with Mediterranean (25.5%) and Multi-regional elements or phytogeographically unknown (72.6%) are abundant. The biological spectrum of the flora according to Raunkiaer life forms shows that Theropyhtes (49.8%) are predominant.
