Effects of Corruption on the National Economy

Today, along with the economic crisis, distrust of administrative bodies of the Russian Federation and social tension, the issue of corruption is of particular significance. The relevance of this issue is due to negative consequences of corruption-related crimes affecting economic processes. The government seeks to neutralize corruption in Russia. The Russian state endeavors to ensure that public services are subject to safeguards that promote efficiency, transparency and recruitment based on merit. The Anti-corruption Council under the President of the Russian Federation was established. Russia has ratified international anticorruption conventions. Each region has its own projects and programs to prevent corruption. In the Russian Federation, there are various centers and institutes for studying corruption-related crimes and their influence on the shadow economy. On a global scale, there are mandatory anti-corruption programs in all government bodies, organizations and institutions. The issue of corruption is discussed at conferences and forums. Recommendations on anti-corruption legislation improvement are made.
