This study aims to describe the services and obstacles to making seafarers' books available online at the Lhokseumawe Class IV Port Authority and Harbormaster Office, Indonesia. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research method and techniques to obtain data through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study used six informants who were determined purposively, consisting of the Head of Class IV Lhokseumawe were Port Authority and Harbormaster Office and their staff and some of the applicants for the seaman's book. The results showed that the Seaman's Book Information System in Public Services in the Maritime Sector at the Class IV Lhokseumawe Port Authority and Harbormaster Office was adequate or effective. So far, in managing documents for making seafarers' books online, the service is faster and easier to access again in case there is a loss of seafarers' books compared to before the existence of an online seaman's book information system.
