Workload modeling is the basis of computing resource configuration for edge computing terminals. Thus, this paper proposes a workload modeling method of edge computing terminals for distribution service. According to the timing logic of distribution service, the service is decomposed into several tasks and the sequential logic diagram is constructed. In the sequential logic diagram, directed edges are used to represent the dependency of the tasks. Combining the internal architecture of the edge computing terminals with the sequential logic diagram, the mathematical workload model is formulated. Based on the formulated models, a workload curve generation algorithm is proposed to obtain the computing resource demand of distribution service. Finally, the computing resources of the edge computing terminal are configured according to workload curve.
