Assessment and comparison of different configurations of MM-wave fiber radio systems considering SBS effects
Two configurations of MM-wave fiber radio systems were assessed and compared. The relative performance depends on the modulating signal amplitude applied to the Mach-Zehnder (MZ) modulator. An optimal power splitting ratio exists for the configuration using a power splitter and the optimal value varies with the laser output power because of SBS effect.
