During the TWT design process, application- specific requirements often define the goals of a TWT development program. These requirements may be germane to most platforms but more often are unique to the given application under consideration. In addition, the performance goals are often conflicting, making the design process more challenging and the balance between the conflicting requirements more subjective than quantitative. Here we consider an example of such a TWT development, where stringent requirements are imposed due to the end-user's application and platform and where a design methodology was developed to accommodate the multiple goals of the program. Experimental results from the resulting TWT prototype demonstrate the viability of the approach.
