Taking protective device of high-voltage explosion-proof switch as an example, this paper designs the IEC 61850 network and whole hardware architecture with internet communication module, which meets the requirement of future digital and smart grid in coalmine. The protection functions are decomposed and identified by corresponding logic nodes, implementation process of ground-fault protection, monitor wire protection and current protection are concretely analyzed, finally corresponding IEC 61850 information model is also established as foundation of interoperability.
