Data collection was conducted using participatory observation technique and non-participatory observation that is data collection in the classroom and outside the classroom. The results showed (1) most directive speeches expressed by students were requestive speech acts; (2) three types of politeness strategies were used in doing the speech acts;baldly politeness strategy, positive politeness strategy and negative politeness strategy.
