Gelişmekte Olan Bir Ülkede Sektörel Katma Değerin Ekonomik Büyümeye Etkisi: Zambiya Örneği
This paper gives an in-depth study of how sectoral value added have impacted economic growth in Zambia for the period 1994 – 2021 using the ARDL bounds testing approach. The long-run results show that the agriculture, industry and service sectors have a positive significant impact on economic growth. Imports are found to have a significant but negative impact on economic growth. The manufacturing sector and exports are found to have an insignificant impact on economic growth. However, in the short run, it is only imports that are found to have a significant but negative impact on economic growth. All the other independent variables are found to be of no consequence to economic growth in the short run. Implications are that for a sustained long-run impact, policy should focus on promoting the agriculture, industry and service sectors.
