基于网络的电子学习不受时间和空间的限制。不用去学校学习很方便。但是基于网络的电子学习有优点也有缺点。大多数基于网络的电子学习学习者过去都是在孤立的空间里独自学习。这是基于网络的电子学习的主要缺点。利用集体智能学习记录的虚拟在场电子学习方法具有研究并行学习的优点。它利用其他学生的学习记录来支持e-Learning学生使用学习历史,如提问、评论等。这种方法有很多学生虚拟在场的效果。
