Without strong intrinsic motivation of acquiring English, it would be hard for the learners to reach the language acquisition. Historically, second language acquisition was begun from the contrastive analysis in which the learners compare their first and the second language. Though the study is quite old, however, it is still useful for the truly beginners especially in EFL context. The current conceptual study aims to view the contractive analysis applied in EFL classroom. The implementation of the contrastive analysis in Indonesia cannot be separated from the students’ characteristics, classroom environment, and length of input. 在英语作为外语的国家,学习者大多在课堂上和有限的时间内获得英语知识。没有强烈的习得英语的内在动机,学习者就很难达到语言的习得。历史上,第二语言习得是从学习者比较第一语言和第二语言的对比分析开始的。虽然这项研究是相当古老的,但它仍然对真正的初学者有用,特别是在英语语境中。本研究旨在探讨在英语课堂中运用契约分析的问题。在印度尼西亚实施对比分析离不开学生的特点、课堂环境和输入时间的长短。对句子类型和主谓一致的对比分析是进一步分析汉英对比分析的基础。
