An Energy Management System (EMS) for power-split with fuzzy logic control (FLC) for Fuel Cell Hybrid Electric Vehicles (FCHEV) powertrain is proposed in this paper. A comprehensive analysis of powertrain for EMS including motor, power electronic converter, mechanical system, physical components, is presented, different simulation time-step and all kinds of drive operation conditions are fully considered as well. The regenerative power control and battery local energy controller is introduced to make sure the SOC of battery is adjustable without over-voltage and under-voltage.
