CFLs are quickly replacing incandescent lamps in home lighting but their effects as non-linear loads on residential power quality is unknown. We performed 15 sets of experiments with different CFLs and analyzed their harmonic interactions. The results provided interesting outcomes in terms of collective contribution and harmonic cancellation.
