MW-755, Straight Flange Magnet Wire Plastic Spools/Reels, has been adopted and MW-760 Tapered Flange Magnet Wire Plastic Spools/Reels is in final draft. These specifications are an attempt to unify the spools/reels used by the magnet wire industry and provide data useful in manufacturing operations of both the magnet wire producers and the magnet wire users. The work being done on a standard for reclaimed plastic spools/reels is also outlined.
