COMPARAÇÃO DE MÉTODOS ANALÍTICOS PARA PREDIÇÃO DA ATENUAÇÃO SONORA POR BARREIRAS ACÚSTICAS
. In situations of excessive road or railway noise that affect nearby residents, noise mitigation measures should be taken. These measures can be implemented at the source, along the transmission path or at the receiver. One common mitigation measure along the transmission path is the use of acoustic barriers. Several methodologies for calculating the sound attenuation due to acoustic barriers can be found in the literature, ranging from numerical methods to analytical models with varying complexities. Analytical methods include more complex methods used in models by different countries, as well as simplified methods that serve as a first estimate of the attenuation of the acoustic barrier. In this study, we compare the analytical methods of Kurze and Anderson (1971), Maekawa (1968), and Salomons (1996).
