MONITORAMENTO DE SOLOS EXPOSTOS DO PARQUE NACIONAL DO RIO NOVO POR MEIO DE SENSORIAMENTO REMOTO
It is a fact that mining activities are still active in the state of Pará and, within this context, there are also Preservation Areas, such as the Parque Nacional do Rio Novo. Therefore, the need for environmental monitoring of the aforementioned park is reinforced, aiming to evaluate the growth of mining exploitation, by means of Remote Sensing. For the development of the study, the images belonging to the Sentinel-2 satellite bands B02, B11 and B12 were used. The composition of these three bands enabled the visualization of exposed soils present in the region. After obtaining the images, their pre-processing was done and, with the detected data of exposed soil, the calculation of areas was done using the Spatial Analyst complement, available in the ArcGIS Pro 2.8 program, in metric projection, SIRGAS 2000, 21S zone. Subsequently, the information regarding exposed soils of the Parna do Rio Novo was obtained, made available on the deforestation detection platform MapBiomas Alerta, as well as the amount of existing mining processes, with the help of the SIGMINE platform, between November 2018 and November 2021. There were 7900 hectares of deforested areas in the entire area of the Rio Novo National Park, 276 hectares of areas with exposed soils in MapBiomas Alerta and 2150 hectares with mining permits in SIGMINE. Thus, we conclude by affirming that the Parna do Rio Novo is a region of great concern for environmental monitoring agencies, because it has great mineral wealth that attracts many workers, who develop illegal activities that damage the territory.
