In this paper, we design an error control coding scheme for VLC using polar code as a forward error correction (FEC) code in serial concatenation with an RLL code. We propose to use soft iterative decoding between RLL code and polar code. Extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) chart is also used to illustrate the proposed serial concatenated scheme's iterative decoding behavior.
