PVsyst Based Comparative Analysis of 1 MW Solar Plant in Jaipur and Dehradun
India is endowed with vast solar energy potential. Different areas of India receives different annual average solar radiations. Apart from photovoltaic (PV) module type and it’s orientation the efficiency of a solar plant is significantly effected by the geographical location. Therefore, in this paper performance of 1 MW grid connected roof top solar plant is assessed when it is located at two different locations of India. The two places are Jaipur in Rajasthan and Dehradun in Uttarakhand respectively. The simulation analysis is carried out using PVsyst software. A comparative analysis is presented in terms of energy injected by PV system into grid and different losses that are incurred in the 1 MW project for these two different locations.
