This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive study type. The research data is in the form of analysis results regarding information seeking behavior through online video media and information needs with the Uses and Gratification approach through online video media. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and interviews. Instruments used to collect data using questionnaires and structured interviews. Based on the research results, it is concluded as follows. First, students of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology are able to search for information through online video media with coherent stages, namely starting, chaining, browsing, monitoring, differentiating and extracting. 摘要

本研究旨在用使用与满足方法描述北苏门答腊大学文学院学生通过网络视频媒体的信息寻求行为,以及北苏门答腊大学计算机科学与信息技术学院学生通过网络视频媒体的信息需求。本研究采用描述性研究类型的定量方法。研究数据是通过网络视频媒体的信息寻求行为和通过网络视频媒体的使用和满足方法的信息需求的分析结果。数据收集采用问卷调查和访谈。使用问卷调查和结构化访谈收集数据的工具。根据研究结果,得出以下结论:首先,计算机科学与信息技术学院的学生能够通过网络视频媒体进行信息搜索,这些在线视频媒体具有连贯的阶段,即启动、链接、浏览、监控、区分和提取。第二,学生能够从认知需求、情感需求、个人整合需求、社会整合需求和逃避需求入手,运用“使用与满足”方法来满足信息需求。关键词:学生信息,网络视频媒体,使用与满足
