Czy istnieje ekonomia kapitalizmu?

Purpose – It is argued that a significant strand of economic thought which remains outside the mainstream has been built on the reflection on different capitalism configurations. Description – First, it is claimed that the free-market economy is not identical with the economy of capitalism since capitalism is not market itself. Next, the paper dwells on some “non-orthodox” theories while striving to show their compatibility with capitalism configurations. The examples chosen derive from wartime and postwar intellectual debates which resulted, among others, in the works of Friedrich von Hayek, Karl Polanyi and Walter Eucken, which still constitute reference points in current debates on capitalism.
