This enables the experience of EE practices in which the subject interacts with the environment, increasing awareness and responsibility for the environment where they live. In view of the exaggerated consumption and inadequate disposal of solid waste, there is a need to train responsible and active individuals in their communities. Thus, the present project aims to carry out, through non-formal education, the environmental awareness of individuals from the of the Environmental Scout Group Guardians of the Park 170 (GEAGP-170/SC) in Lages, Santa Catarina (SC), in order to encourage them to actively act in the environment where they are inserted, through the reuse of solid wood wast pallets, through the construction of trash cans and finally, installing them in pre-established points. The Project took place between September and November 2021, with nineteen participants, which took place in six stages, starting with a lecture on environmental awareness given by a Science and biology teacher. Afterwards, the participants were directed to the practical part of the project, starting with the collection, preparation, cutting and planing of solid wood waste pallets, finally, the assembly and installation of the dumps. As a result, twenty dumps were built and installed, throughout. the project, the active participation of those involved was observed, showing that with engagement and atitudes it is possible to contribute to the formation of more enviromentally conscious and responsible individuals towards the environment where they live, becoming disseminators of this education.
