In the proposed system, a smart controller is designed to control the electrical devices consumption by turning on and off the smart plugs connected to each device, at the right time. The system belongs to a domestic consuming unit consists of different types of electrical loads with different priority of use and amount of consumption. In this control method, the instantaneous or multi-time electricity tariffs, technical constraints of each device, and the optimum time for customers to use each device are considered. Then, the best answer of optimization is selected and implemented in compliance with all constraints with multi-criteria optimization. In this design, power distribution management company can manage the household consumption by determining the appropriate time of use (TOU) tariffs or even by sending appropriate consumption reduction commands. Also, conservation voltage reduction (CVR) can be implemented in this design.
