One type of renewable energy source is the solar energy in which the PV arrays are used for generation of electrical power. The PV cell converts solar energy into electrical energy. The performance of the PV Module is sometimes affected by temperature, solar insolation, shading & array configuration.In this paper the PV model with boost converter and MPPT has been discussed. MPPT is used to track the maximum power in the I-V and P-V curves at different insolation levels. This leads to the generation of more efficient electrical power which can be supplied to either utilities or for household purposes.
