It is generally agreed that creativity (a manifestation of structure and functional brain processes) defines the potential of society, and it has been explored in several aspects (e.g. from physiological, social, psychological, developmental, cognitive, and historical perspectives). Actually, if the brain is the object of investigation of the cognitive science and thus neuroscience, creativity is an integral part of human achievement and social and technological development. Over the years, it has been hard to create research protocols that associate both lines, though recently attempts have been made to connect those issues, exploring the benefits of a transdisciplinary methodology.
