But the requirements for commercial fuels like kerosene eats away their petty incomes. In this regard, this paper investigates on the basis of a case study the adequacy of the Hybrid Solar Wind Power System. Among the various renewable resources, hybrid solar and wind energy seems to be promising solutions to provide reliable power supply with improved system efficiency for hybrid stand-alone applications in off-grid rural areas. This paper presents a method to investigate the reliability of small standalone Hybrid Solar/Wind Power System (HSWPS). The analytical reliability assessment methodology is to carry out the reliability indices of HSWPS.
