This paper presents an advanced hybrid image codec (AHIC) for frame memory reduction in LCD overdrive to eliminate motion blur. The AHIC can reduce frame memory to 1/6 with the PSNR of 35.268dB. It also applies a novel architecture to reduce the line buffer to 50% without any image degradation.
