Design and Development of an IoT Virtual Doctor Robot (IVDR) for the Hospital Station
This study introduces a robot medical assistant that uses the Internet of Things to keep tabs on patients. That contributed to the development of a virtual doctor robot that would allow a doctor to freely move about an unfamiliar location and interact with patients and residents there. In addition, we look at some past studies that paved the way for the creation of similar systems. The important role that robotic technology has played in improving medical treatment and limiting the spread of disease. The ideal application for these robots is to limit patient-doctor interaction and provide backup in hospitals. This will help ensure that only those with a legitimate need to be at the hospital or quarantine facility at any given time are exposed to the disease. A Raspberry Pi and a smartphone app are used in parallel to create the robot. This camera-equipped QR-scanning robot is deployed in an isolated location, where its Raspberry Pi camera can take clear, high-resolution images that are then sent to a nearby screen and operated via a smartphone app. The findings from the preliminary tests reveal that data transmission and reception are stable, and the battery drain is shown to be a limitation.
