Cad of Nonlinear Microwave Devices: Development of a Balanced Mixer Having More than 3 Octaves Bandwidth
A computer assisted design of a microwave balanced mixer is presented /1/. It will be demonstrated that even in the presence of a dominant nonlinearity such as one or more mixer diodes a satisfying prediction of a rather complex circuit behaviour can be achieved. The theoretical results will be verified by experiments considering planar balanced mixers.
