This empirical study aims to explore the effect of hybrid teaching mode on cultivation of students’ critical thinking by analyzing the teaching of Intensive Reading in a private college in Shanghai. Sample of the study consists of 65 juniors in English major and a combination of questionnaire and semi-structured interview is adopted to collect the data. Results indicate that most students felt satisfied with the hybrid teaching mode based on Chaoxing mobile learning; they also expressed their preference of the interactive activities in class and focused micro lectures after class, but showed uncertainty towards the effectiveness of preview assignments and post-class assessments in critical thinking. 摘要

在信息技术在教育中的广泛应用的背景下,混合教学已成为一种主流趋势。本实证研究旨在通过对上海某民办高校精读课教学的分析,探讨混合式教学模式对学生批判性思维培养的效果。本研究样本为65名英语专业大三学生,采用问卷调查和半结构化访谈相结合的方法收集数据。结果表明:以超兴移动学习为基础的混合教学模式,学生满意度较高;学生对课堂上的互动活动和课后集中的微讲座也表现出了偏好,但对预习作业和课后批判性思维评估的有效性表现出了不确定性。并提出了相应的教学改进建议,希望对其他院校同类课程的教学有一定的借鉴作用。
