The method includes horizontal handoff and vertical handoff for heterogeneous wireless network. This paper took advantage of the NEMO characteristic to propose a novel horizontal handoff method. It adopts the conception of hierarchical network to design vertical handoff. We proposed the idea that MH has cache in BS and MR. Our method decreases handoff latency, deliverable packet latency and distance to resend losing packet.
