QoS-aware Resource Reallocation Based on Flow Priority in Software Defined Network
Quality of service (QoS) control is an ongoing problem in existing network architectures, and it has long been deemed too complicated to provide QoS guarantees over the Internet. The emergence of software-defined network (SDN) as a new paradigm for network has been proved can efficiently provide QoS guarantee in existing network. In this paper, we propose a QoS-aware resource reallocation algorithm based on flow priority, and mathematically formulate the problem in software defined networks, the advantages of our proposed method has two aspects, first it can avoid resource partitioning efficiently from global view. Second, when network resource cannot afford all the QoS flows, it can reasonably distribute the network resource and guarantee the high priority flow with low degraded performance. The simulation results show that the proposed approach outperforms the conventional methods.
