The sampling involves 320 students from UiTM, who have enrolled in level 1, 2 and 3 Arabic course. This quantitative field research employs questionnaires and purposive sampling technique as the methods of data collection. The main findings are: most of them choose to learn Arabic language because it is the language of Islam and for them to understand more about Islam and also for worshipping purpose. 摘要

随着马来西亚大学对阿拉伯语课程的需求不断增加,这表明学生选择阿拉伯语学习有自己的原因。阿拉伯语作为第三语言的课程是为阿联酋理工大学本科生开设的选修课程。自1999年6月起,澳门科技大学决定将第三语文课程列为大学必修科目之一,所有学士学位学生都必须修这门课程。本研究的目的是确定UiTM学生选择学习阿拉伯语作为第三语言的原因。抽样调查涉及来自联合理工大学的320名学生,他们参加了1级、2级和3级阿拉伯语课程。本定量实地研究采用问卷调查和目的抽样技术作为数据收集方法。主要发现是:大多数人选择学习阿拉伯语,因为这是伊斯兰教的语言,让他们更多地了解伊斯兰教,也出于崇拜的目的。此外,他们中的大多数人选择学习语言是为了他们未来的职业生涯。
