Who talks about entrepreneurial ideation facilitation? A bibliometric analysis
ABSTRACT Research on facilitating entrepreneurial ideation is scarce when compared to other phases of the entrepreneurship process. Even in practice, most entrepreneurship facilitators (for example, accelerators) consider ideas as a given. In reality, however, facilitating entrepreneurial ideation can play a significant role in the easier formation of entrepreneurial businesses. In order to assess the strength and weaknesses of the field, this study identifies the status and body of entrepreneurial idea generation facilitation knowledge using a bibliometric approach. Results of a comprehensive search on the Scopus database were filtered after a title and abstract check and narrowed down to 61 journal papers. Sources, authors, articles, keywords, and citations are analyzed. Findings show that, lately, researchers in various fields have paid more attention to facilitating entrepreneurial idea generation. Mostly education has been mentioned as facilitation, including formal education and experiential learning. This multidisciplinary issue is discussed by authors from different scientific disciplines, mostly management, psychology, and entrepreneurship.
