It highlights the contact areas between these two disciplines and sheds light on the findings and insights of both fields, thus informing researchers in their quest to develop journalism teaching curricula and training courses. A foreign desk editor (FDE) needs to cross borders forward and backward between cultures depending on translation from one culture to another. However, a journalist usually faces many linguistic and cultural problems to achieve this task.
