Ordered Vacancies in the Fluorite-Type Layers of the Lanthanide BiLuWO 6 Phase by Electron Crystallography
The paper brings new information about the superstructure present in the monoclinic A2/m BiLuWO6 crystal phase. ED and HREM investigations in several crystal projections have highlighted the presence of a cationic disorder in the fluorite-like blocks with sites having specific occupancy values. The disorder doubling the length of the unit-cell parameter b shows a lower symmetry in agreement with the P2 space group (SG).
