The effect of solar insolation, ambient temperature, module parameters and shading on parameters like nominal power (Pmp), open circuit voltage (Voc), short circuit current (Isc), voltage at maximum power (Vmp), and current at maximum power (Imp) is analyzed by comparing it with different panel manufacturers data sheets. It is observed that the simulation results for various module parameters of mathematical model and different manufacturers are found to be nearly the same. The PV array modeling serves as a primary element for the research activities on photovoltaic systems.
