This paper adopts Teaching Learning Based Optimization (TLBO) to solve the Long term scheduling for reservoirs. Firstly, the basic test function is used to verify that the TLBO algorithm has high accuracy. Then the TLBO algorithm is applied to the Long term optimal reservoir operation model and the competitive selection and semi-feasible domain are introduced to deal with the constraint conditions.
