HILLFORT 2 NEAR THE VILLAGE OF STRAKHOVO. FIRST CENTURY HORIZON

Публикуются материалы раскопок городища Страхово 2. Поселение относится к горизонту памятников типа Упа 2 и по многочисленным находкам датируется в рамках I в. Исследования городища позволили прояснить финал существования этой культурной группы, который был связан с серией военных событий практически по всей южной границе лесной зоны Европейской части России. The paper publishes materials from the Strakhovo 2 hillfort. This fortified settlement is attributed to the horizon of the Upa 2 type sites. Chronologically, it dates from the 1st century based on numerous finds. The excavations at the hillfort clarify the final development stage of this cultural group related to several military events that took place practically along the entire southern border of the forest zone in the European Russia.
