Power Divider with Sequential Phase for X-Band Array Antenna Feeding Network Application
This paper discusses the development of power divider with sequential phase for X-band array antenna feeding network application. The proposed power divider is designed to work at the frequency range of 8GHz–12GHz with the center frequency of 9GHz. The power divider is deployed using an FR4 Epoxy dielectric substrate with the thickness of 1.6 mm. The power divider is configured by 5 ports and designed to have a sequential phase for consecutive port. The size of the substrate and size on the ground plane is 47.5 mm × 67 mm. Some parametric studies upon the physical dimension such as feeding line length are performed in which its performances are analyzed through the phase produced on each port. The simulated results achieves the optimum values of reflection coefficient for each port, i.e. S11, S22, S33, 44, and S55, of −36.58 dB, −16.21 dB, −23.31 dB, −34.21 dB, and −22 dB, respectively. While the measured results has the values of S11, S22, S33, 44, and S55 of −30.05 dB, −13.23 dB, −16.1 dB, −18.61 dB, −20.88 dB, respectively.
