After the shortages of current temporal data management are analyzed in detail, this paper introduces an engine-like approach to implement the above information processing. According to this approach, a temporal database middleware as a stratum is constructed on the top of the existing non-temporal DBMS, named TDBEngine, and the related query language and architecture factors are taken into consideration, and then the feasible architecture is designed and implemented, whilst, syntactic and semantic issues are solved.
