The text to be analyzed was selected from the book A Writer's Reference with 2016 MLA Update authored by the founder of WAC Writing Program of the Education Institute in Harvard University. It’s typical and referential for the purpose of this paper. The discourse markers in the text were highlighted and analyzed to address two issues: how to achieve the consistency of field, tenor and mode in an argumentative essay, and what implications does the register consistency have for the discourse coherence of the whole essay. 摘要

在系统功能语言学的指导下,本文运用场-旨-模框架作为分析工具,帮助学生创作和分析议论文。要分析的文本选自哈佛大学教育学院WAC写作项目创始人撰写的《2016年MLA更新作家参考》一书。这对本文的研究具有典型性和参考意义。通过对语篇中话语标记的突出分析,探讨了议论文中如何实现语场、语旨、语模式的一致性,语域一致性对整篇议论文的语篇连贯有何启示。这种以sfl为基础的读写教学不仅为学生提供了一个写有力的议论文的有用工具,而且还扩展了现有文献,作为教学指导、同行评审清单和评估标准。
