These sensors are located at different spatial position and sample the propagating waves in space. The collected samples are then processed to null out the interfering signals and spatially extract the desired signal. Finally, specific spatial response of the array system is achieved with beam pointing to the desired signals and null towards the interfering ones. This paper describes the design and implementation, a phase shift beam former. Phase-shift beamforming, although simple to implement, uses the narrowband approximation of time delays.
