This current target is required to withstand the 30KV Impulse and give a replicate current waveform across a 2.0 Ohms load which is proportional to the Impulse voltage that is generated by the ESD gun. The objective of this standard is to establish a common and reproducible basis for evaluating the performance of electrical and electronic equipment when subjected to electrostatic discharges. Thus consistency in results is of paramount importance. The testing of the indigenously developed Current Target and the Impedance Adaptor also designed and developed in-house have been fabricated as per the standard.
