Cognitive agent based stable routing protocol for vehicle-to-vehicle communication
Vehicular ad-hoc networks(VANETs) aims in vehicle to vehicle communication (V2V) or communication between vehicle and nearby road-side infrastructure (V2I). VANET applications can be safety or non-safety related. One of the main characteristics of VANETs is its changing topology, due to this characteristic the information sent by a node should reach all the other nodes within the shortest possible time and such that the data is not lost, especially if the information is safety related. Therefore we have come up with a stable routing protocol which uses cognitive agent with BDI (Belief, Desire and Intention) architecture with fuzzy logic to find the most stable path possible, by considering velocity, direction and link expiry time (LET) as the parameters. Hence maximizing the packet delivery ratio and maintaining the route reliability.
