The synthesized complexes were characterised by elemental analysis, IR, UV-Vis, fluorescence and TGA. The formations of the nona-coordinated lanthanide complexes have been detected through elemental analysis. In IR-spectra, the formation of the new band at 460 cm -1 could convey the mode of co-ordination of nitrogen atom to the lanthanide. Absorption intensity as well as luminescence properties of the synthesised complexes were analysed through UV-Vis and fluorescence spectra to reveal the formation of complexes. The percentage weight loss of the complexes was studied with TGA analysis to check the thermal stability of the complexes.
