The optimal reconfiguration is proposed based on a multi-objective function which includes active and reactive power loss index, voltage deviation index and reliability index using Particle Swarm Optimization Technique (PSO). Here we have considered IEEE 69 bus distribution system with different tie-switches for optimal reconfiguration. The proposed work has been carried out with MATLAB/MatPower tool and the obtained results are compared and verified using proposed methodology with other existing work.
