DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN TIMES OF THE CORONA CRISIS - CAUSES, PHENOMENA AND PREVENTION MEASURESA contribution to the situation in Germany

The domestic violence area is undoubtedly largely affected by the pandemic. Domestic violence is a neglected phenomen in the society and has resulted in a number of different restrictions, difficulties and crisis situations in the whole society as well as in the family. This situation has also resulted in the necessity of the management of violent conflicts. As the increase in domestic violence shows, the potential of the violence is likely to remain the same overall in order to compensate for the stressful factors during the COVID-19 pandemic. Domestic violence will not disappear and hiding it is not a solution, but shouldn't leave us indifferent to this negative phenomenon. The availability of professional and voluntary help and advice in the post-covid crisis is therefore urgently needed.
