Conclusion

In the post-COVID world, the people are already facing a rapid transformation of universities that could be taken as an opportunity to rethink their educational mission and their relevance and contribution to sustainable development and the well-being of society. Foreign languages and cultures encompass the values, beliefs, knowledge, arts, traditions, and ways of life through which peoples and communities express and develop. For example, the study and understanding of foreign cultures, including minoritized cultures, is crucial for sustainable development goals related to consumption and production. The foreign language educators who contributed to a volume already shared, in belief and practice, the idea that education in foreign languages and cultures needed to be connected to inclusion, equity, social justice, cultural and linguistic diversity, and other relevant areas.
