Thus, avoidance phenomenon appears and runs through the entire process of Second Language Acquisition (SLA). However, although the avoidance is essentially a kind of communication strategies, excessively inclined to take it will also lead to stagnation of learner’s foreign language proficiency, which is also an important reason for the formation of fossilization. Based on the relevant theoretical results of scholars at home and abroad, this paper is designed to analyze avoidance behaviors of non-English-major freshmen in oral English class, and discuss the coping strategies for this phenomenon. 摘要

在二语习得过程中,当学习者在目的语学习中遇到困难时,往往会消极地处理语言困难,即通过回避障碍来促进交流的顺利进行。因此,回避现象的出现贯穿于二语习得的整个过程。然而,回避虽然本质上是一种交际策略,但过度倾向于回避也会导致学习者外语水平停滞不前,这也是僵化现象形成的重要原因。本文以国内外学者的相关理论成果为基础,分析非英语专业大一新生在英语口语课堂上的回避行为,并探讨其应对策略。此外,还将提出一些建议,以塑造一个充满活力的课堂氛围,有效提高学生的英语口语水平。
