This device provides information that allows the user to increase the efficiency of power generation in photovoltaic systems. Detection of operation issues or abnormal conditions such as partial shading caused by dirt or objects can affect adversely the maximum power point. Simulation results were used to validate the model and allowed the development of the device. Tests were realized with the prototype in a panel of 48 W.
